cdrecord 1.8a20 with RICOH RO-1060C driver.
download it at
http://www.fokus.gmd.de/research/cc/glone/employees/joerg.schilling/private/cdrecord.html
Ricoh do NOT want to provide the necessary informations
to anyone. Joerg Schilling (the author of cdrecord) did not get any
support. I ask in several emails and at the CeBit ´99, but they do
not wanted to support anyone :-(
so please do not buy an ricoh device in future
for your linux box !!!
For this reason Joerg Schilling (the author of
cdrecord) was not able to include support for this device.
Someone told me that some MS Windows applications
working with wine
(http://www.winehq.com).
I tryed to work with the emulation, but there are
still some problems with the emulation and also
the usual windows problems:
If the systems gets busy, your cd-r is still
good enough for a frisby slice.
I had made some hacks to wine to get all the data
the windows application sends
and receives from the WORM. I tryed to find out
which byte(sometimes which bit)
means which function. While burning a track with
a size of 5MB I got a log file
with a size of 70MB !!!
This first release was able to burn a one track
data cd with a session fix !!!
(After 3 frisbys)
Features which should work:
I had burned some CD-ROM Mode 1 with several file systems (ISO, Rock-Ridge,
Joliet, long)
One CD-Audio wich one an old technics player played fine !
my system:
i586 P-100 2xSMP
ncr53x810 and adaptec 2940UW
Linux 2.2.5 SMP
NO THANKS TO:
